Forest of Dean

A year in the Forest of Dean

The forest of Dean

Cinderford Forest of DeanTime certainly flies. Today we will have lived here in Cinderford in the forest of dean for a year. It has gone incredibly quickly and I have to say it was a good decision.

Both Vanda and I love it here. The area is gorgeous and Cinderford is a smashing little town. We have lots of small independant shops and some great food outlets. The air seems to be cleaner here ( we do live on a hill so that might help ) and on clear nights you can see many more stars than we could when we lived in Churchdown.

Moving here has also allowed us to create a small vegetable garden, something I have wanted for a long time, and I am now the proud owner of a lovely wood burning stove, something I have always wanted.

The forest of dean is full of delightful little towns and villages and in the last year we have visited them all.

The garden is coming on beautifully and we are determined to make it look glorious and of course productive. Tonight we will be having a big celebration of our first year here in the forest of dean and look forward to many more.
