Growing your own

At this moment in time we are already eating lettuce and glorious new potatoes, all grown in containers.
The deep beds in the garden are now all planted out with sweet corn, runner beans, French beans, a single row of new potatoes ( I ran out of pots ) , onions and cauliflowers. It is only a small plot but we have a cornucopia of vegetables growing in containers.
These include :
- Lettuce
- Spring onions
- Radishes
- Garlic
- Beetroot
- Runner beans
- Peppers
- Courgettes
- Mint
- Carrots
- Sage
- Parsley
- Coriander
- Rosemary
Now that we have started eating the potatoes we have replanted all these pots with even more veg.
None of this is hard work and I would recommend any one to try growing your own vegetables. Of course She who must be obeyed has her flowers out as well, and they too are grown in containers.
On the left you can see runner beans grown in a pot and climbing up the garden fence. We have called them Bill and Ben the Runner bean men.
I have included a video here for you showing our garden that was taken yesterday
