Growing vegetables

Growing vegetables in containers and pots is a terrific way of growing vegetables. It is less work, no digging, very little weeding and it is easy to harvest them without having to bend over to ground level. You also get less damage from slugs and snails.
When I ran out of containers earlier this year, I planted new potatoes in plastic rubbish sacks. So, I do practice what I preach. This time of year is great for gardening with the weather warming up nicely, but it is very dry which takes me nicely onto the title of my next blog which will be conserving water for your garden.
