Starting seeds for this year

Sadly I don’t have a greenhouse but a combination of window ledges and a bit later the shed performs the same function.

I am starting off with Californian wonder sweet peppers as we use a lot of peppers and they look lovely. Also this week leeks and herbs are being started off. All of these are essentials for us and usually very easy to grow outside, and apart from the leeks all of them will be grown in containers or pots.

The last of the sprouts and leeks will be coming out this week so I can manure the deep beds ready fort he spring. All in all an exciting time for gardeners, especially with the early sunshine and rise in temperatures we are enjoying at the moment.

The top of the garden is looking wonderful today with all the spring bulbs up and flowering. I’ll get some photos up as soon as the sun hits them
