Self Isolating in the Forest of Dean

Like many others we are doing our best to stay at home as much as possible, but the fact of the matter is it is simply impossible to completely self isolate. We retired here 5 years ago so we don’t have family members to help. our children live in Manchester, Southampton Stonehouse and Scotland. We do have to venture out occasionally to shop for essentials. Our garden does provide us with a lot of vegetables, but that is now coming to an end until the spring planting. COVID-19 or  coronavirus is affectiung us all

Panic Buying

Panic buying is hurting everyone. There are no real shortages. We noticed last time we shopped that both the Cinderford Co Op and Lidl had almost no meat, but a short walk to Camerons butchers showed us a wealth of meat, chickens etc, so come on folks, help us all by doing a normal shop.

Social media has been a revelation. Lots of community help being offered, but sadly party political insults carry on as usual. A great shame. This is a time to get together and of course support our local business.

It is feeling very odd not seeing or talking to anyone.
