Lydney Dial-A-Ride & Community Transport need new volunteer drivers

Lydney Dial-A-Ride & Community TransportAre you looking to volunteer for a worth while and enjoyable part time job ? Then Lydney Dial-A-Ride & Community Transport are looking for volunteer drivers. You would be using your own car but Dial a Ride do pay expenses for you. If you live in or near Lydney this are is particularly short of volunteer drivers.

I have been doing this work for some time now and I thoroughly enjoy it. You meet new people that you would never normally come across and drive through the beautiful Forest of Dean. You will be providing Door to door transport for people unable to access public transport and be giving a volunteer car service that enables people to access medical appointments in Gloucestershire and beyond. The Dial a ride service takes people to all our local hospitals in the Forest of Dean and of course to Cheltenham and Gloucester.

Lydney Dial a Ride also provide a mini bis service for Schools and other uses and you may have hear of their latest addition to their Services. The Robin

Community TransportA brand new on demand service that we operate in partnership with Gloucestershire County Council.
This pre bookable service covering the south Forest of Dean is open to everyone and concessionary bus passes can be used. It’s available Monday to Saturday 7am to 7pm and ideal for getting to work or school or linking up with the train station in Lydney or the the bus station.
You can book via the call centre or downloading the app.
It’s a two year pilot project, let’s make it a roaring success!
