The Tree has gone

We have always had a huge ugly tree at the bottom of our garden that sucks all the goodness from the soil, constantly showers the garden with needles. Well, this year it has cracked and become dangerous, and looked like the next high wind would send it craching into our garden or the neighbour’s house and garden so we hired a few chaps to take a look. They agreed it was dangerous and it has now been felled. Felling trees is expensive but we really had little choice so the tree has gone.

The cost of removing the waste was horrendous so we are drying the thicker branches in out=r shed so we can burn it on the woood burner next year, and the rest is being taken to the tip in Coleford
