The garden in December
After all the snow our garden is looking fairly tatty. We are still harvesting leeks, carrots and a few other bits and pieces, but this year is not a patch on last year. Our sprouts are pathetic. They were well and truly attacked earlier by the dreaded cabbage white and never really recovered. Last year we were giving them away, but this year we might just have enough for Christmas dinner.
Apart from a few cabbages there is very little coming on now, so I shall be concentrating on getting the garden ready for the spring. Later today I’ll be drawing all the beds out on graph paper and planning next years sowings.
Without doubt we wil be growing even more potatoes in containers and bags as they did so welllast year
