Sunday lunch at the Miners Sling

Sadly the pub has closed

We do like to go out for Sunday lunch and today we headed out to the Miners in Sling. It was a pretty little drive through the Forest of Dean and we were there very quickly.

The buildings are attractive with plenty of parking and once inside it was nice to see plenty of room left between the tables. The staff were all very nice and we decided to try their roast beef for our Sunday lunch.

The beef came separately with a sharp knife to carver it at our table. It came with Yorkshire pudding, roast and boiled potatoes and a dish of vegetables together with a gravy boat.

We both agreed it was the best Sunday lunch we have had this year. Lovely roast potatoes, tasty gravy crisp Yorkshire pudding and the beef was to die for. Our only complaint was that we were too full up to try their wonderful looking chocolate pudding.

We will certainly be returning. Highly recommended.
