Friends and those that read my blog will know that I am a volunteer driver for Lydcare Community Transport. Obviously, many of the people I take are elderly or very ill. In the last 6 months, I have taken many people for Lydcare to Cheltenham Ontology for daily cancer treatment which is very hard, and I have always admired the resilience and cheerful manner they show. It isn’t all happy endings, of course, but last night I had a phone call from a Cinderford man who told me he was completely free of cancer. Needless to say, I was incredibly happy to hear that and thanked him profusely for letting me know. Little things like that make all the times spent in the car worthwhile.
This is a wonderful way to put something back into the community
