Renewing our Wedding Vows
Today ( 31st July ) is our 30th wedding anniversary. Yesterday we renewed our Wedding Vows at St Stephens Church in Cinderford. The first thing I want to do here is to give a great big thank you to Mary, who is @Bristolmary on Twitter.
This lovely Lady who has never met either of us before took the trouble to come and watch us renewing our vows and also took all the photos from the church shown here. It really shows there are some lovely people out there. Mary, we will always welcome you here.

I found it very moving renewing our vows, and have to admit I got quite choked up. 30 years is a long time.
I know Vanda isn’t that keen on speaking in public, but fair play to her she did her bit and I’m proud of her. Who knows, maybe we will manage another 30 years.
Once the service was over we set out for Sunday lunch at the Speech House Hotel . I had booked this earlier in the week and we ate in the wonderful Verderers Court

I started with a tomato and basil soup and Vanda had prawns.
We both decided on roast beef with Yorkshire pudding and traditional vegetables.
The beef and Yorkshire pudding were marvelous, and the beef was tender and tasty. Sadly the meal was let down a bit by the vegetables. They were beautifully cooked but they arrived tepid, and so by the time we were half way through they were stone cold. A great shame.
Here are a few photos.
