The Forest of Dean Music Scene

I am constantly surprised at how vibrant the Forest of Dean Music Scene is. You only have to look at our Forest of Dean Events Calendar to see the variety of music available every week. Our local pubs are one of the main sources but there are other honorable mentions as well.

Some Forest of Dean Music Venues

• The New cinderford miners hall, Wesley Rd, Cinderford, GL142JN – Live music venue with large dance floor and a stage for private hire, also host live tribute nights and local bands
• Lydney Town Hall – The Town Hall continues to play a vital part in the town’s community and offers a large stage with dressing rooms and lighting facilities, in addition to office space. It is an ideal venue for theatrical produc tions, wedding receptions and private parties, as well as public exhibitions (the Beatles even played there!).
• Cinderford Rugby Football & Sports Club – Have regular events in their club house
• The Hearts of Oak Drybrook  – a local pub that regularly has local bands playing
• The Golden Lion Cinderford – This local pub has lots of local bands playing live most weekends
•  The Dog House Micro Pub Coleford live music every weekend
• The Red Lion Inn Huntley has regular music events at their pub

We can’t mention every one unfortunately as there are far too many. Lots of our local pubs show live bands as do many forest of dean social clubs and village halls. All in all the Forest of Dean Music Scene is thriving.
