Planting early vegetables in the garden
It is of course always a gamble to plant vegetables early as a late frost can damage your plants, but as we were so late last year we decided to take a chance and so far it has paid dividends. You can see from the picture on the left some of our early carrots. We also have cauliflowers, early peas, strawberries and new potatoes all growing nicely.
Spring onions and onion sets are also doing very well indeed so fingers crossed for a bumper harvest and I shall be starting bean seeds off under glass this week as well.
The next big job is sorting the compost heap to see how well that has done
