A day trip to Chester

On Saturday we went to Chester with Grindles Coaches ( incredibly cheap at £15.50 per person ). We had a wonderful time. We were particularly impressed by the way that the old facades have been kept while encouraging commercial premises ( Gloucester take note ).

We arrived about 11:30 and the place was already busy. By the time we left it was packed with tourists and shoppers. We had the best burger I’ve had in years from Steak N Shake . Absolutely delicious.

A day isn’t really long enough so next time we will stay a couple of nights

The day was enlivened by the Gay pride parade. This was great fun and we saw some amazing costumes. All in all a good day out and I would recommend Chester to anyone
