
This is a magnificent building in gorgeous surroundings and we had our dinner as private diners in the Alhambra room. Inspired by the Alhambra Palace in Granada, Spain, and created by Mabel Walker-Munro as a Christmas gift for her husband, the room remains in perfect condition. The walls and ceiling are decorated with onyx from Persia, Venetian glass, bronze and copper worked by skilled Moorish coppersmiths. It is a dazzling setting for a very memorable meal, ideal for intimate parties of up to 12 guests.
We started in the bar for champagne and canapes and then I had the best gin and tonic of my life before we went to the Alhambra room for the main meal.
The food was marvellous but be warned it is certainly not cheap. Here are some more photos:
