Yesterday was such a beautiful day that we decided to drive over to Stroud. There are 2 big things to say about Stroud on a Saturday.
1 You can park incredibly cheaply at the railway station car park
2 The market there is the best in the county.
We had a smashing morning wandering round the market, and bought some great fresh local veg and a leg of lamb which we will be eating for Sunday lunch today. It is always fun with lots of street food ( we enjoyed some lamb wraps and an incredible doughnut ) and there are always plenty of buskers playing a variety of styles. All great fun. I can’t understand why Gloucester seems incapable of running markets like this one.
I also treated myself to some Gloucester ale which went down a treat last night
