Forest of Dean Community Transport

Lydcare Forest of Dean community Transport

With the increasing decline in local public transport services; we find our volunteer service becoming increasingly more essential. We oversee a network of individuals who are available to transport people to Hospitals, Doctors, Dentists or other general social appointments. Lydcare community transport pride ourselves on providing a professional, friendly, etiquette and punctual service to all our clients.

Community Transport at its best in the Forest of Dean

LydcareTo book transport please contact Transport Co-ordinator, Edna on 01594 544414.  You can leave a message on voicemail and Edna will respond as soon as possible.

Voluntary drivers are able to take clients for medical appointments, social events, shopping and other community events. All for 50p a mile, I am a volunteer driver for this marvellous charity. All drivers including myself have DBS certificates.

I really enjoy my time with Lydcare community transport. Driving through the beautiful Forest of Dean and well beyond at times is very enjoyable. Meeting new people is also very nice, and the feeling you get from putting something back into the community is terrific. Contact the office on 01594 860143

Lydcare operate in Lydbrook and its surrounding area and travel as far as Bristol, Cheltenham, Birmingham and Oxford hospitals. Our drivers are happy to wait until you are ready to travel back home. A standard mileage charge of 50p applies to all journeys.

There are times when we cannot supply transport in certain areas of the Forest. For this reason we work closely with Bream Voluntary Car Services who provide a medically related transport service. Their contact number is 01594 560257.
