A nice day in the Spring Garden

My new potatoes ( all grown in bags and containers ) are showing the first signs of growth, so I have topped them up with more compost and also given them a good water.
Today was my first day of vegetable seed planting. I planted 2 containers with Early Nantes carrots , always a favourite as they grow quickly and are delicious. As it is still cold at night I covered them up with fleece but we shouldn’t need that on for long now.
We have sorted the shed out as well as we use it in the spring as a sort of greenhouse for starting seeds off. Spring onion and leeks were planted today.
Tulips are coming up now and their splash of colour is always welcome after the daffodils have gone, and I noted today the wysteria and our Clematis is greening up.
In many ways this is one of the best parts of the gardening year
