A BLUEBELL WALK ON YOUR DOORSTEP – IN THE DEPTHS OF THE FOREST OF DEAN
May 6 @ 11:00 am - 5:00 pm
Soon Nature will reward us with a beautiful sight while out on a gentle stroll through the Forest on our doorstep.
If you are thinking of taking a trip somewhere in the Forest to catch a glimpse of the display of bluebells this year, why not head to Soudley? The woods in the Forest of Dean are a good place for a walk most of the year but at this time of year they usually provide a wonderful carpet of bluebells and it makes for an even more enjoyable experience. The bluebells in and around Soudley are a wonderful sight and visitors arrive every year to wander amongst them. The drive from Blackpool Brook (Wenchford) to Soudley can be spectacular and there are walks to take from the Village Hall.
If you do venture to this part of the woods, you could combine your walk with a morning coffee, a light lunch or afternoon tea in the Village Hall. It will open at 11.00am to around 4.00pm on Sunday 6th May and Monday 7th May.
Morning Coffee, Tea and Cakes are followed by a variety of delicious Light Lunches. Afternoon teas will then be available until about 4pm.
So, wander through the woods and pause for a well-earned reward at the end of your walk.
Soudley Village Hall can be found in Lower Road, Soudley GL14 2TZ – and there are car parking facilities adjacent to the hall.
All proceeds will be used for maintenance of the village hall.
