Forest of Dean Holidays at Deanwood Holiday Cottages
Forest of Dean Holiday cottages are in a peaceful setting away from roads and traffic, with their grounds bordering the Royal Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, an ancient oak woodland which is home to deer, buzzards and wild boar as well as many other little animals and birds. Sheep have the right to roam freely under an ancient law, and life goes on at a leisurely pace.
The village of Yorkley is easy walking distance from Deanwood Holiday Cottages being only half a mile away. In Yorkley Village there are 2 general stores, one of which also houses the Post Office, 2 village pubs, a hairdresser, Health Centre and Community Centre.
Our cottages have been tastefully converted from stable buildings in a courtyard setting, apart from The Cottage which was an original farm labourer’s cottage now romantically converted into a cosy holiday home for two. With our cottages grouped together they are ideal for large families, re-unions of friends, wedding parties etc. We also have a sports hall and conference facilities on site available to hire in the summer months. If hiring for a late or noisy evening party we ask that the whole site is hired as we wish to keep the site quiet for the enjoyment of all our guests.
